The Maine Coon is a large and sociable cat, hence its nickname, "the gentle giant". They can reach sizes of 16-18"" tall, 40-48" long, and weigh over 25 pounds (though females tend to be smaller). It is characterized by a prominent ruff along its chest, robust bone structure, rectangular body shape, an uneven two-layered coat with longer guard hairs over a silky satin undercoat, and a long, bushy tail. Some have lynx tip ears and can be Polydactle. The breed's colors and patterns vary widely. Prized for their intelligence and playful, gentle personality, the Maine Coon is often cited as having "dog-like"characteristics.

Maine Coon Cats come in a wide variety of colors and patterns, ranging from, but not limited to:

COLORS: White; Black/Ebony; Red/Orange; Blue/Gray; Cream/Beige/Tan; Chocolate/Brown/Sable

PATTERNS: Bi-Color; Solid; Calico/Tri-Color; Color Point; Tabby

While I've spent nearly my entire life training in tactical combatives and was formerly a fighter and bouncer, believe it or not... I'm a pacifist by nature. I'm a softy for animals and have dedicated over 16 years of my life volunteering at Wisconsin Big Cat Rescue, along with rescuing my own dogs and cats.

Currently my lifestyle and work schedule doesn't allow me to have a dogs, so I've taken to raising, fostering, and socializing Maine Coon Kittens. In the feline world, they're as close as one can get to having a dog, and they are simply the most amazing breed of domestic cats in every aspect. Plus I guess I'm partial to "big cats" as it is!

After adopting Bear and Bella (two High Silver Brother and Sister Maine Coons), our breeder continued to work with me to photograph her cats and build her website. She discovered just how well we care for our animals, and the superb quality of life we provide for them from socialization, raw/natural diet, cleanliness, and comfort. She asked us to partner with her to help do the same for all of her litters, as she (like us) wants the very best her animals and customers.

So now we foster and socialize Maine Coon Kittens at my Studio in Reedsburg. This is a great opportunity for these animals to be highly cared for and socialized with my students, and my students and parents love getting to play with kittens and cats. It's a win win situation for both humans and cats! The kittens get socialization and excellent living conditions, and my students learn the value of caring for an animal along with the responsibilities of pet ownership.

ADOPT!!! Don't SHOP!!!

I firmly believe in and support the benefits and needs of adopting rescued animals from shelters, and can understand the concerns against pure-breeders.

My entire life I have adopted and cared for rescue dogs and cats. (6 dogs and 9 cats throughout my life to be exact). Absolutely yes, there is a dire need for rescue animals to be given proper and qualified forever homes and they desire a better life. This doesn't mean however that pure bred animals don't deserve qualified and loving homes as well.

This is why we've partnered with Dynasty Maine Coons. Our priority is guarantee the best quality of life for the Kings and Queens and their Kittens, as well as ensuring they are not only highly cared for, but that they are sociaized and ready for adoption from families with children and other pets. Additionally, we are 100% against Kitten and Puppy Mills!!! Our breeder is dedicated to not overbreeding or under-nourishing her cats. Her Queens breed an average of 1-2 times per year only after they are old enough, and she retires them after only 2-3 years of breeding. She gives them months to recover and just be socialized and loved as part of the family.

When you see the enclosures and play areas we create for our kittens, and the amount of pet and human socialization they receive, you'll understand first hand how much we respect the lives of these animals and that they live amongst us as part of our own family.

Considering a Maine Coon for Your Family?

When visiting KAIZEN, you'll see a wide variety of artwork along its walls. This is due to a few other aspects of my life... Artwork, Wisconsin Big Cat Rescue, and my other business I Am Cinema.

I guess one could say, I've been an artist my entire life. Drawing was always one of my favorite pastimes. My favorite subject was always Dragons. (Yes... I'm a nerd by nature 🙂 ) I have stretched canvas prints of my photography and my original artwork placed throughout Kaizen. Not that my artwork is anything speculator, but it's a reflection of me and my personality.

Now my career as a professional photographer and my volunteer work at WBCR are a prominent part of my life and personality.

As part of my involvement and volunteer work with Wisconsin Big Cat Rescue, I shoot photography for them in an effort to help raise money for their cause.

I sell prints of my best shots of the Big Cats and donate 50% of the profit to WBCR. Prints come in a variety of sizes, from small to actual life size of the Big Cat!
