My Kaizen Tuition rates vary between a Reedsburg or a Mauston Membership for several factors:
Reedsburg facility is massive in comparison to Mauston, as well as offers more amenities such as a Front Lobby, Lounge, Game Room, Fitness Center, and Locker Rooms.
Reedsburg facility has more nights available for classes each week.
Reedsburg is an established location, and in addition to its massive space, has far more equipment available for students to utilize.
Mauston Memberships train primarily in Mauston, with the allowance of 1 class a week in Reedsburg.
Reedsburg Memberships can train equally between both locations, but are primarily in Reedsburg Studio.
FACEBOOK PAGEUNFORM: Students can choose between martial arts pants or long shorts, and T-Shirts or Hoodies for training. Costs may vary, but usually around $50. Discounts for families past 3 members.
SINGLE: Rates are the same regardless of age.
FAMILY: My family rates are the same whether 2 or 3 family members are training. So basically, the 2nd family member trains at a discount, and the 3rd is free. For any 4th, 5th, or 6th family members, I charge $30 monthly each for them.
DISCOUNTS: I offer a $10 monthly discount for members or parents active in Military, Law Enforcement, and Fire Rescue.
REFERRALS: There's no higher compliment and no better form of advertising than a member referring someone to join my studio.
So I pay it forward by rewarding members a $25 Gift Certificate for each and every time someone joins due to their referral.
*This doesn't apply if simply "someone you know" happens to enroll at Kaizen.
WILDCATS (5-9): Classes are 30 minutes long.
YOUTH (10-15): Classes are 45 minutes long
ADULTS (16+): Classes are 75 minutes long, with an available 60 minute open gym each week.
*Adults have the option to attend partial classes if needed due to their work schedule. Some come in late or leave early if needed. I'd rather they get at least 45 minutes of training than none at all.
SCHEDULE: My class schedule is very flexible. I recommend students attend at least 1-2 classes each week, though they may attend as many as they'd like.
Students may attend additional classes at either location, with no additional costs to their membership.
Students may also pick and choose which days they attend each week. This gives them freedom to participate in school activities, sports, or family events without affecting their martial arts training.
Kaizen is non-affiliated and does not associate with other martial arts studios, nor do we participate in their tournaments. Black Belts and Trophies hold no value here.
Here we train as we fight, and fight as we train. Tournament "point sparring" develops horrible habits that will only make an attack worse than doing nothing at all.
I survive by not only my reputation and the quality of training I provide, but also through how I treat my members. Without them, my business doesn't exist. So I show my appreciation by NEVER increasing the rates of active memberships, even if my rates increase for new memberships.
*However, If they quit and then later return, they will be subject to the current rate I'm charging, which may or may not be higher than their old rate.
I despise this gimmick. It's nothing more than a method of syphoning more money from their members by guaranteeing them a meaningless black with zero value.
I don't ever want my students or parents wondering what I'm going to try "selling them" every time they walk through my doors. I train everyone equally with the best personal attention I can offer, regardless of being a beginner or advanced student.
Kaizen Tuition is all inclusive. Train as often as you desire! There are no hidden fees. Even my Fitness Center is Free for members and parents. I do have students eventually purchase sparring gear and weapons.
T-Shirts are available for sale, but not required.
Wildcat and Youth Students have the opportunity (not obligation) to test every 3-4 months. The cost is from $20-$30, and while I make a small profit on testing, it primarily covers the cost of purchasing materials and printing.
